Received Notice of Proposed 300 m Cell Tower May 26,2014 . We are in a remote area that is sparsely populated. There are many other locations that are higher and would better serve a tower, but the convenience of right of the highway and close to power makes it a good location for Rogers and of cost effective, without consideration of Human cost.

Campbell River, British Columbia. In March 2013, City Council approved in principle the construction of a 30 meter TELUS wireless radio communication tower within the public property of Willow Point Park subject to the outcome of the public consultation as required by Industry Canada. On June 25, 2013 Council voted unanimously in favor of a motion to reject this site.  Council's decision was based on the results of the public consultation. Industry Canada as the regulator could overrule the decision of the local Council.

I reside in a 3-storey rental apartment building in on Fairfield Road in Victoria, BC.  Without any consultation or notification, a crane arrived in front of my building two weeks ago and lifted heavy loads of steel onto my roof.  Asking my neighbour, he said Telus was putting up some kind of Wi-Fi tower.  The next day two men from Ridge Tower Services began the assembly and, going on to the roof, I asked how tall the tower was.  One of them told me it wasn’t a tower, “they are just about yay high,” holding his hand out in front of him.  There has been a fairly constant barrage of deafening noise for over two weeks.

BC, Victoria, Saanich Municipality, Camosun College

Neighbours were shocked to find out in June 2012 that Camosun College had been hosting a commercial cell tower on the top of the Fisher Building, Lansdowne Campus, since 1996, albeit, on a very different scale.  They also found out then that Telus/Wind is proposing a 6.1m extension to the existing 30.2m (above ground level) cell tower.  This tower is within 50m of other office and classroom buildings and within 100m of their own daycare facilities.  It is also impacting residences within 50m and more than 100 other residences within 400m of the tower.

Three new cell towers about 36 metres high may rise into the West Vancouver skyline along the Upper Levels Highway if a new proposal from Rogers Communications is approved by council — and possibly even if it isn’t.
